Challenge: “We’ve tried fluorescent and metal halide lamps, and they produce more heat than light. The environment inside the machines is sensitive, so most of the time we just operated without any light at all, which meant opening the door several times during a process to verify everything was going right.”

Solution: Energy Focus replaced all T12 fluorescent lamps in the office, restrooms, lunchroom, conference room, and lab with 4’ solid state LED lamps with integrated ballasts.

In the shop and warehouse, the same LED tube lamps were installed in tandem inside of 8’ fixtures. Further, all CMH track lights in the offices and hallways were replaced with Energy Focus LEDs. Throughout the facility, LED exit signs were installed, as well. The outdoor lighting was retrofitted with LED landscape lights that illuminate the walkway and parking lot from the building. Both energy consumption and visual appearance were greatly improved. The shop is now illuminated in a clean white light, and the offices maintain a cooler temperature thanks to the new LED lighting solution.
